Steps to Enable Picture-in-Picture Mode In Android O

  1. First of all, enable System UI Tuner by long-pressing the gear icon in the quick toggles menu for about 6-7 seconds.
  2. Navigate to Settings > System > System UI Tuner > Navigation Bar.
  3. Add a new button, and select the type when prompted as ‘Keycode‘.
  4. When asked, type in the custom keycode as ‘171’, and reboot your device.
  5. To test the new Picture-in-Picture or PIP Mode, head over to YouTube, play a random video, and press the home button.
